Whether it be for pure fun or the excitement of competitive sailing, Dana Point Yacht Club provides the opportunity for youth to become involved in sailing at all levels ... from learning to sail to advanced racing.  We have a selection of racing opportunities open to both members and to the public and are always looking for new participants.

High School racing (Ages 13-18):

Each team is lead by their their high school appointed team leader, who works with the coach to facilitate an effective learning environment for the student body. As a whole, the high school sailors strive to master the intricacies of racing strategy, as well as advanced boat handling techniques including roll tacking, weight placement, sail trim, control lines and condition dependant transitions.
