Dana Point Yacht Club offers a variety of social events for members and their guests. We have holiday brunches, theme nights, dance parties, afternoon entertainment and excursions. And of course the usual holiday parties and celebrations ... Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, St. Paddy's, July 4th, Halloween, the Holiday Boat Parade, and New Year's Eve. There are also a number of yacht club traditions each year, like Opening Day and the Commodore's Ball.
Easter and Mother’s Day brunch are just two example of our holiday brunches that offer a wonderful buffet with a view like no other. A day to share with your family and friends. Planned excursions include Angels baseball game, and Del Mar race track. Fourth of July is one of the most fun days of the year in the harbor and we host a dock party with music, BBQ, and water games, leading up to the Harbor’s evening firework show. Also planned this year, we will transform our parking lot into a Parrot Head tailgate party where Jimmy Buffett fans can set up and share their own party parking space, dress to the island theme, eat and drink and then enjoy a Jimmy Buffett tribute band in concert.
Some of our unique events include the Winter White Out party and one of our most fabulous events of the year happens in October, our Fashion Show & Luncheon modeled and presented by our own members with wares from local clothing stores.
We also have some very special events each year, such as our "Lunch with Santa" for Camp Pendleton Marine Families.
It’s a fun and busy calendar with something for everyone. Volunteering to be a part of Social Committee is a great way to get to know a really fun group of people, and share your ideas and talents.
